This meeting included as presentation of Onsite Wastewater, Basis of Authority and enforcement regulations. This was a presentation by a Health Department representative (I did not get his name) on the scope of authority and enforcement provided by the La Plata County health Department.
Also included were;
1). The approval of various responsibilities delegated by the Board of County Commissioners to the La Plata County Board of Health for administration.2). The delegation of authority for the
La Plata County Board of Health to approve the Public Health Directors contract upon completion of the search and hiring of the new Director.
Other discussions included the progress of the Director search, and a review of Public Health Department contracts, grants, and funding.
Wendy Rice was reappointed as a Board representative for a 5 year term.
