DESCRIPTION:Meet Your Fellow Community Members Who Live Outside\n\n\n\nThe League of Women Voters of La Plata County is inviting you to a community-wide D.E.I event. \n\n\n\nFriday\, November 7th at the VFW 4031 (1550 Main Ave in Durango\, (970) 247-0384) In the Lower Hall\, which now has a wheelchair ramp! \n\n\n\nJoin us at 5:00 for a forum where several of our unhoused community members (Veterans\, disabled\,\nLGBTQ+\, etc.\,) will get a chance to tell their story and be heard. The panelists will then take audience questions\, facilitated by a moderator. Get a new perspective and put a face to your homeless neighbor\, friend\, or co-worker \n\n\n\nAt 6:30 we will wrap up the presentation and join each other for a harvest season grateful potluck dinner. Please stay to join us\, and bring a dish – main\, side\, dessert or beverages to share\, and/in a disposable container so the panelists can take the leftovers. \nWe hope you’ll take this opportunity to get to know your neighbors and share with folks who live outside in Durango.
