At the beginning of the meeting, the members were late. There was no agenda provided to the public and the agenda items were not clearly described for the public (no background info was provided either on each issue). City Council first listened to FLC students’ asses the sustainability of public transport, they asked lengthy questions and disregarded one member’s question entirely. Council also posed for a photo op. They went on to discuss public safety, roundabouts and a building development. They received an update about ongoing and upcoming events at Durango High School and set hearing dates and spoke about the City budget. Counselor Bosmans requested an executive session and was rejected by the present City Attorney. Confusion and dysfunction followed as council members spent almost 10 minutes arguing. No action or follow up is required by the League.
